Karma is unbalanced

November 13th, 2005

It’s been a rough morning. First, I was playing poker at Canterbury, and that didn’t go so well. Then, while driving home, my car’s engine temperature gauge shot into the red and the computer warned of excessive coolant temperature. While dealing with that problem, my cell phone broke and fell apart. Speaking from my recent experience, being stuck in the middle of nowhere, at 1:45am, with a fierce wind blowing heavy rain, and without a form of communications, unequivocally sucks.

That doesn’t sound fun what so ever. What ended up being the problem?

if you want, we can trade cars…after mine starts up, it’s pretty flawless. but that starting up…sometimes, it just doesn’t work. just a thought…lol.

anyways, school is almost over this quarter. thank the gods.

I thought you fixed those starting problems by replacing the battery?

The problem with car turned out to be a bad thermostat along with (and probably caused by) some sort of malfunctioning valve mechanism near the radiator that was restricting the flow of coolant. I won’t be able to make it down to the dealer to retrieve the car until Wednesday, so I’m stuck with a rental for another day or two. The good news is that the mechanics don’t think there was any ancillary damage (besides the thermostat). The bad news is that it’s still going to set me back about a grand. Ouch.

There’s really only one solution to all of your problems…an extended stay at a blues bar with a bottle of whiskey by your side at all times. no, not really…but that would be fun. i’m sure your luck will turn around; “shit happens.”
