iPhone
June 29th, 2007
I was at an Apple store this evening and played with the iPhone. Yes, it has a very slick interface, but there are three reasons why I won’t be getting one:
- It’s too expensive
- Its non-WiFi data (EDGE) is too slow
- My Verizon contract is still in force
There were a lot of people at the store looking, but I didn’t see anybody buying.
(This post is part of the 100/100/100 challenge)
i am still confused how the iPhone got so much publicity – it’s just a phone with the same capabilities other phones have had for at least a year – but with a touch-screen interface [which honestly is more a problem than a benefit – no tactile feedback = bad]. and at $600 – yeah, count me out on that.
