Lessons learned
June 1st, 2007
Looking back, it’s hard to believe they trusted me enough to let me do the things I did. I was woefully unqualified. Perhaps my projection of confidence offset my dearth of knowledge.
In the end, my intuition — as well as some lucky guesses — brought me success. Everybody won: the customer was happy, I learned something, and my boss looked good.
Still, I can’t help but wonder what an omniscient third party would have thought of the situation. I suppose that there’s always the humorous take.
