Minnesota
December 21st, 2004
This morning I woke up to find a coating of fluffy snow outside on the ground.
Tomorrow, the high temperature is predicted to be three degrees Fahrenheit. Yes, three. That’s really not so bad: Thursday’s predicted high is zero degrees.
The predicted low temperature for here on Thursday is -11 degrees. That’s actually two degrees colder than that predicted for Amundsen-Scott Base at the South Pole.
Good to be in Minnesota again!
Does it ever lightning when it snows there? Because it’s doing that here…
Snow lightning? It probably has, but I can’t recall ever seeing it.
You forget that its summer in the South Pole right now, so obviously it has to be warmer than it is in MN…
So you guys have nothing on me – I wake in the morning and feel cold – bristling at the idea of a shower without hot water because it’s a frigid 75F. And that’s not even considering the wind chill – crikes!
